Upgrading of this toy shop to comply with current fire regulations involved gutting the shop, re-ordering, constructing new roofs, toilets, stairs and shop front all whilst the shop was still trading on the ground floor.
Private Shop, Carlisle
At the request of the Planning Department and with the aid of an English Heritage grant the Private Shop asked for a new shop front which included a security grille. Work at this shop also led to a more extensive redevelopment of a Private Shop in Liverpool.
