Green Oak Frame Extension, Hyde Heath, Bucks
The original brief for this project, to improve the existing kitchen and make use of ageing outbuildings, developed into the idea of a single storey link between the house and the outbuildings. After consideration, renovation of the outbuildings was not practical and a new two-storey scheme evolved. A highly insulated green oak frame has been used to create a light contemporary linking structure.
